Get ready to build, create, and explore at Mid Island Brick Fest! We will have all kinds of activities and amazing LEGO® creations to check out.
You can dive into interactive building stations, explore some of the hands-on creations, or try out LEGO® robotics with Nanaimo Science or FIRST LEGO® League. When you need a break you can enjoy our LEGO® stop motion, or relax with some LEGO® books and colouring sheets hosted by the library.
Fun for All Ages — Here’s What to Expect
Mid Island Brick Fest is a free one day family event focussed on LEGO®! As always, adults are welcome with or without children.
Mid Island Brick Fest is an annual event held at the end of October at Country Club Centre in Nanaimo. Once you’re inside the mall, you can find us between Shoppers Drug Mart and the library (close to Save-on Foods).
Do you enjoy seeing what others have created out of LEGO?
You won’t find any sets on display here. Mid Island Brick Fest features a huge LEGO® exhibition showcasing MOCs (My Own Creations) created by MILUG members and visiting AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO®) and TFOLs (Teen Fans of LEGO®). Some of the MOCs will be interactive and you will be invited to try them out whether it’s a puzzle, Great Ball Contraption, optical illusion, remote control, or something else!
Are you a teen or adult and have a unique creation you want to show off?
There is no cost for non-members (13+) to display their creations at the event but advance registration is required to ensure there is enough space. Please contact us at midislandlug@gmail.com if you or your teen is interested in participating (visiting builders are asked to be present for the duration of the event).

This event isn’t just about looking at amazing LEGO® creations but it is about interacting with LEGO® in lots of different ways in our various LEGO®-related activities. Activity stations always include an assortment of the following:
