MILUG 10 Year Celebration
MILUG is now in our tenth year as a club and we will be celebrating all year long! Our 10 year kick-off celebration party was help in May at White Sails Brewing in Nanaimo. In the early days MILUG used to hold our monthly meetups at White Sails until they got too popular and we got too big!
After some socializing and snacks, we took part in MILUG trivia. It was nostalgic for members who have been around since the beginning and a great was to learn about MILUG for newer members. All answers were from the MILUG website or social media so even the newest members could participate!
We also did a fun group activity where everyone had to build 2 letters out of 2×4 bricks. Once complete groups of five had to complete various word challenges and they could only use the letters the people at their table had built!
We also held a build challenge the week prior to the event where members build MOCs representing 10 and then brought them to the celebration. Members brought “10”, “ten”, and even one roman numeral – “X”. A few members brought representations of 10 by including 10 balloons or 10 minifigures.
We look forward to more celebrations throughout the year!
